When you adopt a tram your donation directly helps MOTAT lay new tracks on the Western Spring Tramway. It also makes the perfect gift for tram fans!

Adoption levels start at just $25 and there's a tier to suit every supporter, with donor benefits described below. You can adopt one tram per transaction, and you are welcome to return and adopt as many trams as you'd like.

Adoption Acknowledgement and Benefits:
Bronze Supporters | $25+ Receive a downloadable Adoption Certificate (valid for 12 months), your name on the digital Supporters Wall (www.motat.nz), and a charitable donation tax receipt.
Silver Supporters | $135+ All Bronze benefits, plus a MOTAT Tram Bear ($35 value*) and an invitation to the tramway upgrade celebration event.
Gold Supporters | $500+ All Silver benefits, plus a MOTAT Family Pass (valid for 12 months, $45 value*), a framed certificate signed by the Chief Executive / Museum Director and your name in the Annual Report.
Platinum Supporters | $5,000+ All Gold benefits, your name on a Tram Barn plaque (public viewing area), a guided tour of the Tram Barns and MOTAT's offsite heritage tram collection, and a VIP pass to the tramway upgrade celebration event.
* In line with IRD rules, the value of the Tram Bear ($35) and Family Pass ($45) is deducted from your donation when calculating the tax receipt.
